Sammy grew up watching his grandfather (William Robertson) carve masks, boxes and talking sticks for potlatches. Sammy worked with Simon Dick beginning in 2001, and he carves miniature and ceremonial masks and drums. Recently, he has carved a series of vibrant and playful bentwood boxes for the gallery.
