Rylan Amos

Rylan Amos is a part of the Hesquiat Nation, from the west coast of Vancouver Island, and he has been carving since 1987. He frequently works with his father, Nuu-chah-nulth carver Patrick Amos, and has completed a four-year apprenticeship with celebrated Nuu-chah-nulth artist Tim Paul. He commonly works in red and yellow cedar, as well as alder and yew wood.
