Chrystal Sparrow

Chrystal Sparrow is a member of the Musqueam Band, and has always been dedicated to Salish design and culture. In 2006, she won a YVR Art Foundation Scholarship, and one of her carvings was selected for the 2010 Olympic Committee boardroom in Vancouver, BC. While she enjoys wood carving, Chrystal is also interested in weaving, painting, and jewellery-making. In February of 2008, she graduated from the Northwest Coast Jewellery Arts Program at the Native Education College in Vancouver, BC, which was led by Kwakwaka’wakw/Haida artist Dan Wallace.
