William Watts

William started carving when he was very young in 1976. He was taught by John August, Jim Yelton, and Floyd Joseph. While his family is originally from the West Coast of Vancouver Island, William works in a Coast Salish/Squamish style. He grew-up in North Vancouver. His work is characterized by bold formline and deep carving. He mainly creates wall plaques and small feast bowls.
