Kevin Ryland has lived and worked on Haida Gwaii for much of his life, and is from the Raven clan. He has been carving argillite since 1990, and he creates jewellery, boxes, model poles, and sculptures. Kevin learned to carve from Haida artist Mike Brown and celebrated Haida argillite carver Christian White.
