Stan began his training as an artist at the Ksan School of Art, Hazelton, in 1979. After Ksan, Stan completed an apprenticeship with his uncle, Dempsey Bob. Stan's work has been exhibited internationally and he has also been featured in several films and publications. He is currently a teacher in woodcarving at the Freda Diesing School of Northwest Coast Art.
