Tukiki Manomie's parents, Davidee Mannumi and Paunichea, and his brothers, Agjangajuk Shaa and Qavavau Mahnumi, are all artists. He began carving at the early age of six, and he first began exhibiting his work in 1976. Tukiki’s work is in public and private collections across Canada and the USA, including at the National Gallery of Canada in Ottawa, ON, and the Canadian Museum of History in Gatineau, Québec. He has been exhibited worldwide, including in the travelling show Art Inuit presented by l’Iglou Art Esquimau, Douai, which took place in fifteen different galleries around France from 1990-1992.
