Michael Dangeli's crest figures are Beaver and Eagle. He has apprenticed under his uncle, Randy Adams of Prince Rupert, as well as with Alaskan Tsimshian artist David Boxley. Michael was a member of the Tsimshian Hauyuuk Dancers, and now belongs to the Get Hayetsk Dancers. He studied oral history and protocol from his grandmother, Louise Baiton-Dangeli, and has created a program called the House of Culture, which offers classes and workshops. In 2008, Mike had his first solo exhibition called Traditionally Contemporary: The Art of Mike Dangeli at the Copper Wolf Gallery in Vancouver. Michael creates masks, rattles, paddles, box drums, regalia, prints, and totem poles.
