"My kookum had a corner of the dining room table. Where she would sew different powwow regalia, the dopest PJ pants, blankets and skirts. Remembering the joy it brought her to make things for her grandbabies and community I wanted to find a way to continue her legacy. For this bentwood box design are painted beaded flowers that wrap around the box, it’s fabric your kookum wouldn’t be mad at. Fabric that would be on kookum’s sewing table ready to receive the love and care that will be put into whatever the fabric ends up being. Inside there is sage from Winnipeg and a little diamond willow medicine to remind you of your own granny."
