Artist Statement: This is a box dominated with salmon-trout head and wing designs. The top portion is a base coat of red oxide then designed and painted over top. I have wrapped the design so it transitions seamlessly and appears to never stop nor start. This represents eternity. The wing designs on the lower portion of the box are stand-alone and represent the four directions. I believe this box is very representative of what I do; clean lines and very contemporary design features.
