Erich Glendale was born in Campbell River in 1972, but his roots stem from Knight’s Inlet. Erich now resides in Port Alberni, BC. He began carving Northwest Coast Native art in 1990. Erich carves mainly in wood, preferring yellow cedar. He carves rattles, masks, sculptures, bowls, small totem poles, panels, and talking sticks. In 2006, he also began engraving silver and gold rings, pendants, and bracelets with the help and guidance of Nuu-chah-nulth artist, and friend, Gordon Dick.
