"This piece depicts a great Alberta Chief who saw his tribal reserve lands stolen away from him and his people by the Alberta Government. Their lives were uprooted, so he and his members took shelter on other reserves where they eventually became members. A great injustice was served and the land that was stolen eventually became part of the University of Alberta's research properties on the south side of Edmonton. What also was lost was the kinship his members had, as they were family members who became dispersed."
