18" x 24" Artist Statement: Inspiration from this painting came from noticing the similarity in the movement of energy between ripples of water in a pond and the rings found within the trunk of a tree. Both originate from the center and travel outwards in circular rings. The metaphor drawn from this is that thoughts, actions and words all carry this life energy and travel outwards in spheres of influence.
