Jaimie (Xbiyee) belongs to the Laxsgiik (Eagle) clan of the Gitxsan Nation. Jaimie began weaving cedar bark in 2003 when she was offered guidance from cedar bark weaver Victoria Moody. In 2016, Jaimie began her tenure at the Freda Diesing School of Northwest Coast Art and trained under master carvers such as Stan Bevan, Dempsey Bob, and Ken McNeil. She also received training from Dean Heron and Nathan Wilson, both accomplished carvers, while at school. Jaimie was taught engraving by Arlene Ness.
