Anuximana Jade Hanuse is a wood carver and painter whose practice is deeply-rooted in the artistic traditions of the Northwest Coast. A graduate of the Freda Diesing School of Northwest Coast Fine Arts, Hanuse’s work has been acquired by notable institutions, including the permanent collection of the UBC Museum of Anthropology. Mentored by master carver Dempsey Bob, she carries forward ancestral knowledge through her art, blending traditional teachings with contemporary vision. In 2025, Jade was featured in the exhibition Nuxalk Strong at Vancouver's Museum of Anthropology.
