Archie Patrick names his grandfather, Toby Patrick, as his main influence. He creates totem poles, plaques, bowls, and masks. In 2009, Archie graduated from Vancouver's Northwest Coast Jewellery Arts program under established Haida/Kwakwaka'wakw artist, Dan Wallace. Also in 2009, he travelled to Long Plains, Manitoba, to help complete a 25-foot totem pole that was being raised in recognition of Canada’s Residential School survivors.
