During the summer months, Vancouver International Airport hosts engaging, free, and fun events every Friday. YVR Take-Off Fridays launched on July 8th and they run every Friday until August 26th from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Lattimer Gallery YVR is participating this year by featuring a selection of demonstrations at our airport location between 11am-2pm by some of the top First Nations artists in the market right now:

July 22 - Steve Smith (Kwakwaka'wakw)

July 29 - Richard Shorty (Northern Tutchone)

August 5 - Wes Wyse (Coast Salish)

August 12 - Corrine Hunt (Kwakwaka'wakw/Tlingit)

August 26 - Cody Lecoy (Coast Salish)

Enjoy delicious treats and lunch specials from locations throughout the airport as well as FREE entertainment including live musicians, DJs, caricaturists, face painters, and YVR Paper Airplane Folding Zones.

Join YVR's Explorer Tours every Friday at 11am in front of The Spirit of Haida Gwaii: The Jade Canoe for a free one-hour pre-security walking tour to learn about our art and architecture.
