The Heiltsuk word h̓ík̓ax?it translates to rise, to elevate. This sums up perfectly what KC will accomplish with this new body of work. Lattimer Gallery is proud to support KC on this exhibition and collaborate with him on over fifteen brand new pieces. 

The show will be in person at Lattimer Gallery and online at lattimergallery.com. It will run from July 25, 2026 to August 8, 2026 with an artist reception on Friday, July 24th from 5-7PM. The pieces will be available for sale online beginning at 10AM PDT on July 25th. 

In KC's own words:

"This solo show marks a major turning point for me, showing both my personal growth and how my art has evolved. ELEVATE represents a big step into a brand new chapter of my style. I took the foundation of my past work and pushed it into something much more intentional and mature.

At the center of this collection is a real focus on human emotion. Instead of just making bold images, I wanted to catch deep feelings and put them straight onto the canvas. My goal is for people to look at the lines, colors, and shapes and actually feel the mood and energy behind them.

The biggest breakthrough for this show came when I changed my process and learned how to be patient with myself. By slowing down, letting ideas breathe, and not rushing, the final pieces completely transformed. The result is a collection that is cleaner, tighter, and more refined than anything I have ever made before. ELEVATE celebrates that growth, showing what happens when you combine raw passion with a lot of patience."
