Earl Wadhams began carving wood in 1996 with encouragement from his brother, Willie Wadhams. He began working as a full-time artist shortly after. Earl has also worked with Dion Luis, Donny Wadhams, and Norman Bee. He creates panels, plaques, and sculptures in red and yellow cedar, and he enjoys incorporating jewellery and metals into his wood carvings. In February of 2008, Earl graduated from the Northwest Coast Jewellery Arts Program at Vancouver's Native Education College, which was led by Haida/Kwakwaka’wakw artist Dan Wallace.
