Andrew Williams, Haida artist, has been carving argillite for over twenty years. He is also well known for his jewellery, having worked with Haida/Blackfoot artist Jay Simeon and completed the Northwest Coast Jewellery Arts Program at Vancouver’s Native Education College, but argillite is his passion. From decorative pipes to sculptural pendants, Andrew’s pieces are diverse and he loves accepting custom commissions. One feature that sets Andrew’s pieces apart is his use of detailed and minute inlays. Most of his artworks in argillite contain abalone inlays, which add colour and dynamism to his pieces. Prices for Andrew’s pendants begin at $400.00 CAD and prices for his sculptural work start at $1,200.00 CAD.
