11" x 14" Artist Statement: Inspiration for this piece was drawn from the nocturnal creatures gifted with night vision. The cover of the night sky can inspire feelings of fear of the unknown while also igniting a curiosity for the mysterious. While also providing a humbling experience to be placed among the stars here clarity can be found not where the visible world is seen and conceptualized but felt from within where the borders of the self dissolve and merge with the collective space we all inhabit between the stars.
